A LITTLE GATHERING

We had an early family Christmas dinner with my dad last night ....

it was such a beautiful summer evening ....

..... we ate lots of yummy food, lit candles and sat out here well into the night.

(I always forget to take photos of the food or the nights proceedings once everyone arrives, too busy talking eating and drinking, which I suppose is the mark of a good night !!!)

We have a new chair,

it is actually a left over from the cafe job ....

it's covered in old green velvet ....

I especially love the legs ....

..... someone else loves it too !!!

I love Aesop ...

the products, the packaging, the bottles and jars (they are great to recycle)

and the fact that it is an Australian company ....

not to mention their beautiful stores, I'd love to visit this one ......

they also look so nice in the bathroom ....

my two favorite (can't do without) items are Fabulous Face Oil ....

and the Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste .....

.... what's your (can't do without) favorite facial products ???

I found this lovely vintage cane basket at a local market on the weekend ....

.... perfect for holding all our market lemons,

we do love our lemons in this household !!!

This is our dog Elvis looking very relaxed and peaceful

(he's actually quite naughty but you wouldn't know it by this shot) ....

he loves this spot on the top of the sofa .....

lazing and dreaming the day away .....

.... oh and I couldn't leave Malcom out

So nice to have hydrangeas blooming in our garden again,

they really are one of my favorite flowers .....

.... the beautiful papier mache vase on the mantle is by my very clever friend Georgina,

I love it so much, her work is just stunning !!!

This has been my life for the last week or so .... I'm sourcing furniture for a cafe and at the moment my deck is full of lots chairs

and goodies ....

I didn't do it on purpose but the colour scheme seems to be gravitating towards reds and greens (with a dash of yellow) ....

I'm a bit in love with this red stool .....

these old cane chairs ....

..... and this armchair.

Oh and this is our dining room at the moment .....

home of lots of tables ....

you may recognize the one in front from this post .....

...... they are all leaving today for their new home,

my family won't know themselves having their deck and dining room back

although it probably won't stay that way for long,

I'm off again today to source some more goodies !!!

A BIT OF A SALE

You may remember I mentioned I was getting ready for a bit of an ebay sale on this post a couple of weeks back .....
these are some of the goodies that will eventually (or may already) be for sale ....

(my downstairs room looks like a messy secondhand store at the moment) ......

..... It's been a very busy old week here (with other projects) but I've managed to put some more things on this week and I will try and add some new items everyday
